Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)

What is it?

TRIP is a fundraiser where you can earn money towards next year's tuition

How does it work?

You purchase grocery vouchers/gift certificates from the school using order forms.  Sales profits range from 3 to 10 % of the gift card amounts.

- 80% of the profit goes towards reducing your tuition

- 10% goes to the school budget, reducing tuition for everyone.

- 10% goes to the TRIP coordinators

An average family that spends approx $150/week on groceries would be able to get a minimum of $312 off their tuition per year. $150x52=$7800 x 5% =$390 profit, multiplied by 80% = $312 each. This amount can be increased if you purchase Canadian Tire, Tim Hortons, etc. Once a month you will have a chance to purchase extra gift certificates-Kelseys, Swiss Chalet, M & M's, Sears, etc. The percentage earned varies, and will be listed.

How can I increase the amount we earn?

Sell to your family, friends or coworkers, or if they're from our school community, get them to designate their portion of the profits to you. In other participating schools, enterprising individuals get $1000 - $2000 off their tuition yearly. You can too!!

I don't have children in the school yet. Can I still participate?

Yes! You can start saving now to make your first year of tuition much more affordable and appealing. Your earnings will be held for you and then applied to your first year of school tuition.

I have grandchildren in the school. How can I help my children pay for their tuition?

On the registration form in a space where you fill in the names of the families you want your tuition earnings to go to. You can split your earnings up to four different families.

I don't have any family in the school. Where do my earnings go?

On the registration are three other choices. You can direct your earnings to the ICS Fundraising Account, which contributes to the budget, or the Tuition Assistance Fund, which helps families that have difficulty paying full tuition. You can also direct your earnings to any family of your choice, anonymously if so desired. In this way you can help others.

How do I get started?

Fill out the Registration Form and return to the school. Order forms will go out on a monthly basis. However, you may order weekly if you like. A new form will be sent home with your completed order. Payment must accompany orders.

Can I still buy vouchers at the school or the other locations?

Yes. Grocery vouchers will continue to be available at the school office, Aunt Kelly's Deli, Clovermead Apiaries, and at the homes of Theressa DeJong and Grace Schipper. They will have forms to fill out if you want tuition credit. Most of these sources only carry grocery vouchers. All other gift certificates will need to be obtained through the monthly order forms.

Tuition credit can only be given if an order form is filled out and the payment has been received. Post-dated cheques are acceptable.

This is a program where the School collects printer cartridges, cell phones, yogurt tubs, and many more items, and turn them into cash. This not only raises money for the school but keeps these items out of the landfill!  See details in the school.
